Visual strategy: Getting great photography is a critically important task for design firms. Proper planning can ensure that your time and money are well spent.

The camera lens sees things very differently than our eyes do. Combining just the right composition with just the right lighting and arrangement of elements—architectural details, furniture, art, accessories, flowers or plants, and so on—is key for capturing in 2D how a 3D space actually feels when you inhabit it, and for lending it an emotional warmth.
Equally important is matching photographic style to the intended use of the images. Take advantage of my long study of what sorts of photos are appropriate for various kinds of publications, as well as what images will entice potential clients. And use my connections with many top stylists and photographic talents to up your image game.
